To be honest, I’m reply to yours and others posts it’s best to use internet banks like Starling with euro account who let you know days before if money going out ? Rather than Sabadell just take when they want .

News story in UK press about losses at Revolut

From Sky News Money Blog

Hi Steve,

I returned from the UK yesterday on Easyjet.  They don't accept cash payments on board, but when I bought some refreshments, I was able to pay with my Wise card (I could have paid also with my Barclaycard or Sabadell cards).

However, the passenger across the aisle from me was refused payment with her Revolut card - the steward said that Revolut cards don't work with Easyjet card machines 🤔

Kind regards,

Kim

I think being resident is a big advantage when it comes to banking. A lot of the frustration I read seems to be from people in the UK trying to fix an issue in Spain. But people everywhere love a rant at their bank and Sabadell can get into the firing line just like any other.

One thing to bear in mind is that the Spanish don't have a monopoly on rude people. There are without doubt a few rude and self entitled British people who will no doubt swan into a Spanish bank and complain later that they weren't fawned over immediately by an English speaking customer service a...

...ssistant. And that "it's not done like that in the UK"

Banking is a very emotive issue and it causes quite a bit of debate here because a lot of British people think their banking should be free, go to the greatest lengths to find the cheapest bank and then complain like mad when they have a problem with that bank.

I've used Sabadell for nearly 5 years, I've found them to be excellent. When I go to Branch I wait patiently, I smile when greeted, and use my limited Spanish until they realise that having made the effort for them they will now speak to me in English.

No Bank is perfect and it only needs one member of staff who dislikes foreigners to make it difficult, and get that branch a bad name, but overall I dont think you can do much better.

Steve

ING is another option. I've banked with Sabadell for years, they are OK at somethings not so good at others. I would doubt Cajamar or Caixa are any better as I've heard bad reviews about them. ING is European with branches in Spain,  you could look at their reviews
