Can anyone recommend an agency to assist with this please, I applied for residency in December 20, and it was granted 2 months ago, and I cannot find someone to help with license exchanges in the Alicante area
I would have thought that any Gestors would be happy to help you.

I asked for recommendations because the gestor who our estate agent sent me to, told me that unless I had applied to change my license before brexit, I would have to take a test, and I am sure that isn't cor

Unfortunately your gestor is correct. If you didn't register your intention to exchange your UK licence before 30th December 2020 then you'll need to take the Spanish driving test. You didn't need to have your TIE card to register but you needed your TIE card to exchange your licence. I think this confused a number of people.
There's a chance that something may be agreed between UK & Spain in the coming months but currently you can't exchange your licence.

You have 6 months from the date of your residency to take the test so 4 months left if you got it 2 months ago.
