Good afternoon all.

I am looking to move to Spain as soon as the borders are open. I have a residence there and my partner used to live there (Elda) for a period of 3yrs prior to us meeting last year. I add at this point that she is of Polish nationality and would still be able to move freely. We are due to be married next year.

I do have the offer of work (real estate) but will need to come back to UK periodically to see my Son or maybe pick him up to bring over for a week or so.

Can anyone assist with what my options are.? I also add that we are also looking to open a bar and restaurant but to rent initially and would not be for another 6 months until the market picks up...

many thanks

Simon

Hello  Simon

You would be wise to read the requirements for residencia/TIE cards from Jan 2021. There are different types of Visa required to start your application, --- which is now with the Spanish Consulate in UK. Until then you can only visit for up to 90days in a rolling 180 which is for  visitors from third world countries. Your partner is unlikely to be hampered by all the new regulation & as she is  an EU citizen & as she has  lived in Spain for 3yrs I assume she has legal residencia already. Heres the link with all current details to give you some idea what the criteria is.

Once you and your partner are married then it will be easier for you gain residency in Spain as the spouse of an EU national.
