Car hire

Totally new to Spain. Looking to visit to find an area to buy a property. Could anyone recommend a car hire company for Alicante airport or El Rasso Guademar.

Our friends have been using Lara Cars for the last 5 years and have never had a problem. They have offices at Alicante Airport and La Marina. The price they give you is the final price, no extras, no trying to sell you extra insurance. They meet you at arrivals, so no waiting time. You park the car in the parking house when you are finished, and leave the key in the boot. You can pay online, with your card or cash on arrival.

Laracars base group A1 car in November €135/wk. Nothing on their website about deposits and of course somehow you've got to get from and back to the airport.

You can get the same group car from OK rentals at the airport for €124/wk including FULL insurance and 2nd driver.

Full insurance means no deposit (except for fuel), no worries about damage or additional charges.

Pick it up - drive it - fill it up - drop it off - job done.
