Hello,

As a British couple (still holding British passports) Resident in France,  we are looking to buy and live in Spain in the near future, we have read many questions on the Forum regarding British moving from Britain to Spain  pre and post brexit but would anyone know how things will affect us? i.e would the passport or country of residence be the main factor when applying for the residencia ?

many thanks in advance

Andrea

Acquiring Irish citizenship may be a handy way to obviate residency and free movement issues however it will not get you an S1 for healthcare because to qualify for that you need to have actually lived there and been registered for healthcare.

hi,

just want to say thanks for the input ,its much appreciated, but seeing as neither of us are of Irish descendence or currently pensioners we will have to just wait and see whats on offer post brexit.

once again thanks.

Hello Andrea

I have some friends living close by who were living in France but, because of the cold winters which aggravated their arthritis, they moved here 3 years ago and have been free from pain ever since.

If you would like to contact them directly then let me know.

Kind regards

Richard
