Hello, I am in the process of buying a property in just outside Alicante City. I have been considering moving to Spain and teaching there. I do not seem to be able to find out teaching salary for primary school teachers. I am aware the pay is less in Spain than in England but I am not sure how much less. Any information would be fantastic.

This report is 4 years out of date but I suspect that given the low interest rate environment we all find ourselves in, I would be surprised if there has been much change from the salaries referenced:

Leaving aside the salary, getting the job is a challenge. Forget public institutions. Private facilities pay low wages, and an unemployment rate of almost 30% does the rest. This is definitey not the place to male money.

Thank you for this insight. I am just considering my options. I will already have a property in the area and have seen a few positions in Primary schools so I just want to be sure about the pay before I start applying.
