I know there is the ability to turn off email notifications for posts and I can also see there is a few global options to turn off all notifications on the web also.

Is it possible to add the function to 'turn off web notifications for this post'? (In the same way you can turn off email notifications in the actual post itself)

I like to keep up to date with my notifications and very often end up spending quite some time to click in and out of a post where there have been many responses. I don't particularly wish to turn off all web notifications though.

Hope that makes sense.

It's already there.

Go to your notifications (bell symbol top right)

Scroll down beyond the list then you'll find 'Change your notification settings'

Click on then tick or untick as you like.

I think what UKHandyMan is suggesting is the ability to turn off individual topics from sending him web notifications - this isn't currently available but will add it in soon
