I am an over 70 Pensioner asking for Advice, Information, and constructive opinions as to my chances of
being able to live in the Costa Brava area of Spain. My desire to emigrate to Spain has increased since the
passing of my wife in June 2021. As many people know and accept you can't live on memories and you
must get on with life. I know this is a bold step but being prepared for it, with the Forum's help I will achieve it,
and advice and Information of all kinds is essential to ensure I don't fail on my quest.
When I reached pensionable age of 65, I embarked on a different journey. My goal was, (as a pensioner), was
to go trekking in the Himalayas, up in the Annapurna Sanctuary. Needless to say, I achieved it.
I am now 82 and would like to retire to the Alicante region. I am seeking an area that is mainly British ex- pat but still maintains
the influence of traditional Spain, I would be looking for a apartment to rent on a long term basis with at least 2 bedrooms, fairly
close to beach with facilities. The rent I am willing to pay would depend on the quality of the property. Needles to say a garage
would be a necessity and preferably within the area.
Any assistance and advice to begin a new chapter in my already adventurous life, will be gratefully received.
Thank you
