Health insurance for someone who has had a heart attack had stents fitted is on medication but is now fit and healthy Any suggestions and ideas of cost per month I am 60 and not a pensioner yet

Hi,

Health insurance providers registered in Spain usually do not take in any pre-existing or underlying conditions unfortunately as a standard, not even with the option to include by paying a surcharge. Certain companies exceptionally still pay for the consultations with the private specialist and a first emergency assistance in the private hospital up to the diagnostic. If the medical report would refer to the existing condition, the insurance would not pay further from that moment. The monthly cost should be around 72-75€ month for a 60 years aged person.

If you are in possession of the European health insurance card (now renamed to GHIC), you'd be entitled to use Spanish public health facilities (Seguridad Social) since there are no limitations or exclusions on pre-existing conditions via the spanish state health care.
