Hi there from Aberdare in South Wales.
I am retired. My wife is younger than me and will work for the next 5 years when she too can retire.
I suffer from arthritis and ache constantly. The best relief is being in a warm climate. We are both very active and love the outdoors. We have a very energetic spaniel who requires a lot of walking. As well as walking I do a lot of intense workouts in the gym, if I just sat around I would seize up completely. My wife is a keen cyclist who can cover 100 miles plus a day.
Our kids are all grown up with the exception of our youngest who intends applying to join the forces in a few months.
We have joined this forum as we intend renting in Costa Blanca over the next few years with a view to maybe making a permanent move when my wife retires. We can both visit for a week or so twice a year and I can do a month or so on my own. Hopefully we can get a good understanding of life over there with its good and bad points.
