To whom it may concern,

I am seeking work around the Costa Blanca area. As mentioned in my title, I am happy to take on work in any bars or hotels that are looking for staff or as a personal/virtual assistant,( but unfortunately I do not know Spanish yet but learning slowly) I also have experience as a semi professional photographer so I am happy to take on private jobs for photoshoots.

So please leave me a message and I'll get back you ASAP:)

Thank you for your time.

If you're a UK passport holder you will need to apply for work whilst you are still living in the UK. If you get work then your prospective employer will need to apply for a work visa on your behalf from the Spanish consulate in the UK.

All available work must be offered to an EU citizen first by law.

If you want to live in Spain permanently you will need some type of visa.

Thanks Steve for the info, my country is still in the European Union so I am lucky I do not have to worry about that ;)

You will still need to sign on the foreigners register within the first 90 days of arrival in Spain.

Try some websites, which specialise on job offers. I found es.indeed.com quite helpful. If you don't speak Spanish, you'll be better off with Facebook groups like Orihuela Jobs Costa Blanca South. Good luck🍀

Hi Ann, thanks for your advice, I am following job offers on Facebook but no luck finding anything suitable yet. I also search on LinkedIn Indeed Glassdoor etc so just posting on different platforms to see what is out there :)

I was fortunate enough to find a job in Benidorm in 2019 then later in Orihuela Costa through this website - https://www.holidaysinalicante.com/jobs-in-alicante/

I'm not sure how often they update their jobs but back there was plenty to choose from (pre-Brexit). As others have mentioned already here there are a lot of hoops to jump through nowadays so it's worth reading up as much as possible beforehand and even seeking the help of a gestor or someone that deals with residencia in the areas you are looking to move to. Facebook groups are also a great way to find out more information from expats that are currently living and working in Spain.

Hi MP,

Sorry I know it's been months but have you succeeded in finding a job and if so, where and how as we are looking to move to Alicante from Ireland (Irish passports) and I am looking for a job. My husband is working at a home so he doesn't need one but myself and potentially my 17 y o daughter area in search for one. I speak Spanish but she doesn't .

Many Thanks,
