I used comparison sites and then DPD and they used SEUR and everything arrived OK. Recently I saw this UK post: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2023/january/mse-parcel-delivery-firms-poll-results-2023/

Hi Mike,

Was this for a delivery from the UK to Spain?  I've not experienced any problems with DPD, DHL and FedEx on journeys from the UK to Madrid and onto Alicante - it's when they pass the final part of the deliverty to Seur that things have often fallen apart.  I've waited in for days for some deliveries, only to receive an update each day from Seur saying that they tried to deliver and I wasn't at home!  I once tracked an order from the UK that made it all the way to Seur's distribution depot in Catral, only for them to return it to the UK without even attempting delivery - to this day, I've never received an explanation from Seur, or Marks & Spencer, as to why that did that.  On the upside, M&S sent a duplicate order, using their express delivery service via FedEx, and it arrived in 2 days.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim,

Yes I checked their best prices and dates, and sent 14 standard size boxes up to 25kg each on 4 different dates.

I had to carry them up to the 4th floor.

They always phoned beforehand to check I was in. My Cuban neighbour kindly received one lot for me, a day early, but the next time they did that they came again the next day. I think the NE corner of Alicante is a convenient start on SEUR's circuit, avoiding rush hour traffic.

Post-Brexit delivery from the UK is more hassle, at least with my experience with Correos.es. The staff are good.

I told Correos.es that their closest branch was outdated and awkward for their staff, and they practically rebuilt it within 6 months!

I’ve had Seur drop off smaller parcels at the other end of town to me at a collection point…no reason given. My address is simple to find , parking fairly easy ( they usually just double park!) . I’m guessing he was just too lazy to make the stop as I’m sure he would have other deliveries in the area…it’s a well used road. Annoying having stayed in all day for it !
