Hi Jim,

I also would like to thank you for the      effort you made to put all the useful        information in this forum. Although i am in the early stage to buy a property in Spain but i have found all the information are very useful and i will use them as a guide in the future.

Kind regards

You're welcome, and thank you. That's why I do it.

There are a lot of people on the forum apart from myself who post good information, but I decided to call mine guides so they can be easily identified, and Alex has been kind enough to group them all together for easy access.

I'm afraid that's one I can't help you with, and hope someone else will.

My feel for it is that if not having insurance with the bank doesn't affect the mortgage or bank charges, then you could well get a better deal if you shop around.

I would suggest you shop around, when we bought our property four years ago we went with Sabadell's Insurance the first year not knowing any better. The following year we moved to Right Move Insurance which was less expensive with even better cover. See the attached link, if you scroll down you will see their Office details, we used the one in La Zenia, located between Zenia Boulevard and where the Saturday Market is held.

House n contents insurance. I'm with Sabadell. One claim.....no haggle. But!  Shop around. Try to avoid the banks & brokers. Villas
