Hi

New to this. Considering moving to Alicante City, just like to know what it’s like and if there are any tips on living there

Thanks

Amanda

It depends what you're looking for really.

My girlfriend and I moved here earlier this year having spent several years living in and around Barcelona.  We were looking at a few options, but fell in love with Alicante City on our first visit.

It's got everything we liked about Barcelona with none of the downsides.  We've found the cost of living to be very good, the people here are really friendly and the whole city has a really nice vibe to it.  It's got lots to do and see, including a fantastic beach (and an even better one at San Juan a few stops away on the tram), good nightlife, it's generally quite a clean place and feels safe.  It also doesn't feel claustrophobic, there's a lot of parks and open spaces and pretty much everything is walking distance.

As I say though, it depends what you're looking for.

I agree with previous post from Mark

Have you spent any time in or near Alicante city?  We love all that it has to offer.   Sea, blue skies, beach, good shops, great transport, 20 mins from airport, open all year.

What more could we want?

We joined a forum called Internations.org.  It’s a worldwide expat forum.  There is a branch in Alicante.  People of all ages and nationalities will find something of interest.  It really is worthwhile going along to some of the organized events.  For example you could attend a simple coffee morning, or go to a large organized beach party.

 Hope you enjoy Alicante 😎
