Hi Costa Blanca Friends. Does anyone know of car boot sales operating within around a 30 minute drive of Alicante city. Bought an apartment in Alicante around 18 months ago which had loads of knick-knack items, pottery, pictures etc I'd like to sell to clear from it which are too good just to throw away.  Be grateful for any info ( Does El Moncayo get busy ? Do you have to book or do you just turn up ? )

Cheers Paul

Hi Paul, I dont know around your area well as I,m in Villena off the A31 Madrid Road, but I go to a big rastro in Salinas, just through Sax on a Sunday(about 25mins from you I think) via A31 from Alicante, or when I lived in Gran Alacant, used to go to a rastro in Guardamar which is maybe a bit closer. I feel there must be others close to you, maybe Quesada as big expat community there. The Salinas one is huge, mostly regular Spanish sellers but run by a British man Richard Pickering who is on facebook and he could maybe tell you of others he knows about nearer you.

Hope this helps

Regards

Pauline.

Yes Lucy, close to you, come off the A31 for Sax sud, head town centre and you,ll see signpost for Salinas. The rastro is right turning in the industrial estate at the big roundabout in Salinas, cant miss it. It starts early till 1/2ish on Sundays.

Enjoy, we go every Sunday when there and have a chinese in Sax (last chinese on main road coming out of Sax, they do a daily menu for 6.50€ which is fantastic.

Regards

Pauline.
