hi everyone
has anyone already had tried and managed to finish 1st step online (for those who do not have certificado UE yet)?
i assume you fill in a form and attach necessary documents? i just got my certificado digital and will try to do it myself.
i just want to see if others found it easy, or some applications were rejected, and why.
thank you.

That wasn't my question.

There are unfortunately very few people who have taken my advice to get an electronic certificate, and all of those I know about already have residencia, so I think you're on your own on this one.

The initial online application doesn't cost anything, so I suggest you have a go and see for yourself how easy or difficult it is.

Incidentally, I'm guessing, but I think you'll probably need AutoFirma installed as well as your certificate.

Hi - we have done it recently using a digital certificate. Our outcome was favourable which means we can now apply for the cards themselves, EX23.

I used a HP scanner to scan in the documents; Stamped bank statement for last 3 months, Private health insurance including evidence that it was paid in full (the Insurance documents showed a red "paid" virtual stamp), all pages of the passports scanned, a copy of our Padron.

There is no specific payment required for the EX20 part of the application. Though there is for the next stage.

System updated from processing to favourable outcome in around 4 days.

Jim is absolutely right regarding the digital certs though clearly you have yours which is good. If I were to speculate I might say that it wouldn't be inconceivable that all submissions of the initial application might soon need to be done electronically if covid cases continue to spike - just my speculation though.

Good luck but the submission was fairly intuitive I found Chrome the best browser :)

In a bit of spare time this afternoon, I've worked through the online system to the point of uploading the first of the required documents, and it's quite straightforward. The only problem is that if you don't complete the application in one go, you've got to start from the beginning.

And a 6mb max file upload per file. Not a problem except if you save a single multiple page PDF of the passport. I had to drop the dpi resolution to 75 for the passport to get it below 6mb. If you use an HP scanner the bundled software allows you to add multiple pages to a single document.
