Non Lucrative Visa Renewal

To make an appointment at Alicante foreigners' headquarters, see the following website.  About half way down is the heading, "Headquarters 1. Immigration Office in Alicante" where, in the list of procedures, you'll see "Authorization and renewal of non-lucrative temporary residence":

As I don't have an NLV, I can't get through the appointment system to see what the options are, but I would imagine it should mirror what you need to enter on the application form at Section 4, i.e. “1a Renovación” (1st Renewal) and, just below it, “Titular de autorización de residencia no lucrativa previa Inicial/Renovada” (Holder of a previous Initial/Renewed non-lucrative residence permit).

When I go into this site to make an appointment is says you do not have access to this site.... which is what is throwing us?

It's almost a year since my post, so the links I originally included may have been moved.  I've tried them and the 1st, 3rd and 5th still work.  The 2nd link, to make an appointment, has been replaced with this:

We gave up.  We tried for months to get an appointment and could not get one.  We visited the centre in Alicante twice and told them we could not get an appointment online and all we got was a shrug and 'keep trying'.    The only way in the end is to get a lawyer to do it online for you.  You should be able to find someone to do it for about 500 euros each, but it is impossible on your own (although I have been told some town halls might help).  By the time we found a lawyer it was too late and we had to go back to the UK and supposedly start all over again.  I am so cross with the craziness of the situation.  We had all the paperwork and it was just not possible to get an appointment, but we are the ones at fault !! So we are giving up on Spain as we feel really unwanted.  Some people were lucky and found out about the online renewal system early, but we did not find out it was possible to do it only online until it was too late.  All the paperwork we read said, 'You might be fined' if you are late with your visa application, and that we had to make an online appointment to visit the centre in Alicante, as we had when we first got the visa. We just assumed, worst-case scenario, we might get a fine if we keep trying for an appointment and it gets late!  NO, the worst-case scenario is you just have to go back to the UK and start all over again from the beginning at the Spanish Consulate. It's complete madness, and I just do not have the willpower or motivation to go all through it again.   We are selling up.   

Hi, I used a Gestor in Alicante City to get my family residence card. Her English was perfect and she was very helpful and calming at all stages, set up meetings etc. and the cost of €250 included translations of marriage certificate. So I imagine just helping you with the appointment could be significantly cheaper. I can PM you the details if interested. Best, Simon
