Hi. I am thinking of applying for permanent residency. Is there a bullett point document?

I already have a propertyin Alicate city (10yrs) NIE and bank account. Am paying non residency tax and have a car. Where to start to get everything aligned.

Also is the S1 healthcare an option? I am receipt of UK pension.

Absolutely loads of threads on here about applying for an NLV. If you look at the BLS Spain Visa website it will explain everything you need. Just put NLV in the search box on the top right to see dozens of experiences and explanations.

Basically, you need an income of around 32k euro a year plus 7200 for each dependent. Health insurance either private or state funded and, yes, the S1 does cover it. You must apply in the Spanish consulate in your home area that covers where you live and the BLS site will show you that. The consulate will give you links on the documentation you require and how to get them translated etc.

The important thing to note is that it restricts your time away from Spain and you cannot be absent for more than 10 months in the first 5 years which is classed as temporary residency.

Best of luck.

You cannot simply apply for permanent residency, you will have to go the NLV route which gives you temporary residence for 5 years and after that your residency becomes permanent.

The fact of owning a property snd a car makes no difference to anything.
