I need to visit the local police to ask them to suspend the parking bay outside my property in the city in order for a replacement window company to park their van for the day. Not sure where to go!

I think you go to the town hall (ayuntamiento). When we moved the moving company applied for permission from the town hall. The window company should know what to do and they should probably ask for permission to park there as it would be their vehicle that attracts a fine without having permission to park. I think...

Hi, I arrived in Alicante a week ago, my journey was stressful as I brought my cat which involved connecting flights, a long train journey and several taxis. It was well worth it though and I'm delighted to be here! Unfortunately somewhere between Alicante city or in Guardamar I managed to mislay a plastic bag containing persinal items. I've checked with the taxi drivers except one in the city. Can anyone tell me if stuff left in taxis is handed in at the police station or should I write it off as bad luck?
