Hi,

I don`t normally pay too much attention to the electricity bill, but given the exorbitant price increase of late I wanted to analyse it in depth this time.  In the "Desglose de la Factura" section there are the following parts:

  • Termino Fijo
  • Termino Variable
  • Coste de la energia
  • Impuesto
  • Alquiler del contador

The Termino Fijo and Termino Variable sections are split out to show the details  ("importe por transporte" and "importes por cargos" further split out into the new P1, P2 and P3 bands). However, the Coste de la energia is just a single line with a value.

The total bill is the sum of the totals from each of these sections.

I first assumed the Coste de la Energia was a sum of the previous sections, but it isn´t – in our case it is significantly higher and it is not at all clear where it comes from.  It feels like our consumo is being charged twice in two different ways. Can anybody clarify this?

Thanks

Adrian

Where does it actually state the number of kWh used and the amount charged for this? That is the cost of the usage.

It states the amount of kwH that I have used at the start of the bill, but nowhere does it state the cost per kwH that makes up the Coste de la energia value nor does it make clear how this value differs from the Termino variable.

For the Termino Fijo section, it does state the cost per kwH.

For the Termino variable section, it also states the cost per kwH.

But for the Coste de la energia (the most significant part of the bill) it does not. There is simply a  value in Euros.

Hi Andrew

I can’t remember how I achieved this 🧐 but I get my bill, both electronically and hard copy, in English. I’ve attached a copy of my recent energy usage.🤪🥂

Angebadge…It’s that long ago, but I think I just emailed them and asked if the bill could be produced in English. They replied almost immediately saying no problem and started to send bills in English. I stopped the hard copy but at one point I was receiving both like you

Regards

Anne

Thanks a lot for sharing that Anne. In your bill everything is very clear. It essentially has

  • Termino Fijo
  • Termino Variable
  • Alquiler del contador
  • Impuesto
It does not have the additional "Energy Cost" line that the Iberdrola bills have (well, at least mine).

BTW I am fluent in Spanish, so that's not the problem.

I will try calling them again...they might eventually pick up the phone.

Thanks
