Jim,

I'm sure you've heard it all before - but this guide is absolutely fantastic. We are currently in middle of buying a 'holiday home' in Playa Flamenca and we've both found the information that you have provided a massive help.

That sounds unusual, Bryan, but without knowing full details I can't give an opinion.

All I can suggest is that you look at the rental contract and have a careful study of the small print. If there's nothing in there requiring your partner to insure the property or assume liability for it, then the onus must be on the owner to rectify any damage.
