Hi Alex,
I
thought I'd share with you some specific feedback regarding the
"Unhelpful" button you recently introduced. Below is an extract of a
recent exchange on the Brexit poll you set up some months ago:
POLL: What would you vote in a new Brexit referendum? - page 10

"...vote leave....just like everyone else did"?
I think you'll find that 48.11% voted to remain.
Kind regards,
Kim

I
am happy to confirm that I was one of 3 people who found DeaninSpain's
post Unhelpful. I don't know the reason the other 2 people gave
Unhelpful votes, but my own reason was that his statement is
inaccurate and I posted a response pointing this out.
You can see that when I posted my correction, 1 person
found my post Unhelpful. I don't know who this was, but as my response
is accurate and was not abusive, I would suggest that the use of the
"Unhelpful" button in this instance is petty and mischievous.
This was one of my
concerns when I said previously that I believe the "Unhelpful" button is
unnecessary. If there is genuine reason for complaint, i.e. a post is
abusive or inaccurate, the "Report" button is sufficient. Otherwise,
polite responses correcting inaccuracies should be all that's needed. I believed it was a shame that some members didn't believe that adults could behave like adults, but perhaps this misuse of the "Unhelpful" button proves they were correct.
On a positive note, I love the new "Save" option!
Kind regards,
Kim
