Rather than edit, just to add, what is the difference between a Gold Star award and a Silver? What is the difference between a Silver and a Bronze?

It seems to me were seeing a league table under creation. I really don't like this unnecessary polishing of posters. It shouldn't develop into a competition.

That's all!

I absolutely agree with Steve.

For example, is it possible for me to go back to every "guide" that Jim Taylor has ever posted and add an Award?  Yes?  Great.  So I give Jim a "Gold" award for every post that has been helpful to me personally.  Then, do I take a view on his other posts, which he's clearly put a lot of work into, but hasn't necessarily been of benefit to me directly - do I award only a "Silver", or maybe a "Bronze"?

I genuinely don't believe these awards add any value; in fact, I think they dilute the value of the several thousand "Helpful" votes that Jim, and other members, have deservedly earned.

Something that I would like to see is a "smiley" option which I could use for those posts which aren't necessarily helpful, per se, but have made me laugh out loud, or smiled and simply brightened my day (Villas y sus amigos!) 😄

Kind regards,

Kim

EDIT:   Whoops!  That's not to say that "Villas y sus amigos" aren't often helpful too!  😄
