Hi. Went to Carrefour yesterday, different vibe, majority of voices were not Spanish, nor English, but Scandinavian, German, Dutch, E bloc. Cars  were reg to those countries in the car park. Question..have all these people been tested on entering Spain by road? I sincerely think and pray, that when visitors, including Inland Spanish, go home, then things will settle again. We are hoping that we can  visit grandchildren at Xmas before they forget us !! Keep safe and cool..

RayD: "Just hope you don't hear any Leicester or Bradford accents "

Please explain, is C-19 accent selective?

Ray,

at the moment Spain and France have higher numbers of infections over the past 14 days than the UK and if you look at the infections versus population there are several other countries with higher infection rates per head of population, The figures in Spain are climbing, which is why the UK health authorities advised  the UK government to impose the 14 day quarantine on arrivals from Spain. Given that most countries eased lockdown restrictions before the UK, as they imposed restrictions before the UK, perhaps it is to be expected that infections are ahead.

Rgds,

Aitch.

I think this graph using ECDC data from the BBC news website today explains the infection rate by country and needs no further comments.

WoW, that graph is frightening and thank you for your research.

You won’t deter him Swift56 he is so anti British bet he wouldn’t trade his passport for a Spanish one and straight back to U.K. if we find a vaccine.bet your bottom dollar Spain won’t be contributing to the vaccine.
