Water pump installation

We have a water deposit that supplies our water as not being on mains. We need a new pump installing as the old one has problems. Recommendations gratefully received.cheers.

We have the same system. Any competent plumber should be able to supply and install a replacement domestic pump.

Ours is not exactly identical as we do have a mains supply, but we are miles out in the campo at the end of the supply run, so have a depósito to cope with the unreliable supply.

The hard water and sand destroys the pumps, we have had three in the past few years, but the latest one seems to be ok! Don’t just go by price, a cheap pump is a cheap pump for a reason! Ours is made by ESPA, a large Spanish manufacturer, who also export quite widely. I think it cost around 400 euros but can’t remember now. Also be aware that they seem to come in two parts, effectively the motor and separately a pressure head ( forgive the baby language, I’m doing my best here!) so if only the pressure head has failed, I believe they are replaceable as we’ve had this done.
