We have had our residencies for over twenty years, but they are on ,A4 blue paper and are getting a bit dog eared.. also it is impossible to take them around with us, unlike the later credit card size versions.

Where can we get these replaced and do we need to go through the same channel as people applying for their new ones, or is there a fast track?

Thank you.

How you do it is described at the end of my residency guide but, as Ray says, there's no point bothering.

Spain haven't yet published what their requirements will be, but for example look at:

https://www.costablancaforum.com/area/mudamiento-spain-77813/eu-brexit-living-holidaying-moving-to-mudamiento-215/jims-guide-the-brexit-withdrawal-agreement-90322/

Whether or not we will transfer our residency certificates to a TIE, or an equivalent, and what we will need to do in order to effect this transfer, still has to be defined.

Don't be influenced by what you see on Gov.UK - they've been totally wrong so often that they've lost all credence as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Jim, is there an update on the TIE card as Serenity insurance (Quesada) are now selling appointments to get the cards for 100 euros.

CAB Spain have posted that those of us with residencia do not have to do anything.

They checked with the consulate after seeing many firms are advertising appointments

Many thanks to all, Serenity must have been looking for business as when we called they had already compiled a list of 36 people who had been in to make an appointment for TIE cards at 100 euros each.

I will cancel our appointment after the information provided,

Regards

Owen and Carol

Good afternoon

Can anyone pls tell me where I can find Jim's guide to renew our green residents card for tie. We had looked at all the  details step by step provided by Jim  which were so helpful, we were going away and decided to do it now we are back, but the links now don't seem to work.

Thanks for any help

Sue
