Good Afternoon,

Does anyone have any advice on bringing my small dog over to Spain when I move over permanently. Can I fly her over if so which airlines and approx cost? She will have all her jabs and travel document as I know the vets no longer issue a pet passport. Many thanks in advance.

Do a search on google. I did and have decided to use the ferry to get them over. I have 2 dogs and it costs around £30 each dog. Flying runs into the hundreds. Aer lingus...Lufthansa and KLM accept dogs. I know Ryanair dont. Hope that helps.

Well... possibly not the most obvious reply. But we bought a used LHD Spanish registered car from LHD Place, a company in Basingstoke and drove our elderly cat from East Sussex to Almoradi. We took the train through the channel tunnel. Maybe because we were in a Spanish registered car, they checked our passports but there were zero checks on the cat or on the baggage we had in the car.  It took 3 days and we stayed in pet friendly hotels in Northern and Southern France. Jesse cat was relaxed and just happy to be with us for the whole journey. It took so much of the potential stress and worry away. The car is still running fine and has passed the ITV road test twice. Jesse is cat is very happy in his new life. Good Luck and feel free to ask any further questions.

That sounds like a great adventure for you and the cat. Thank you for your advice.

A great pleasure. Our *adventure* happened in late October 2019, just before the first threat of Brexit. Hope it all works out for you.

Just for your information - we came over here from Portsmouth to Santander with our dog and booked a pet cabin - it was GREAT but they are booked up months in advance (we were luckily offered a cancellation, which we took) they also have kennels that you can put dogs in on the ferry that don’t appear to be quite so booked up - hope this helps
