Hi,

There is a dog that is kept in a large pen opposite my holiday apartments. A man comes to feed him once a day. I last saw the dog in August 2018 & am now shocked by its appearance, it is literally just skin & bone. Is there anyone I can report this too as I am not back until August & I fear it will be dead by then. I have given it some food which it wolfed down & a bone but I am going home on Thursday & leaving this poor animal to a death sentence. Please any advice would be appreciated. Ian going to the K9 charity shop to seek there advice tomorrow ☹️

Thanks Kim, I’ll see you what I can do tomorrow. I’ve given him some food & bone which he is devouring now. It’s absolutely heartbreaking I wish I could just take him home with me. Thanks for getting back to me so prompt x

Good on you. I would respectfully suggest that you don't give him a bone. A hungry dog will fill up with air which could have a nasty effect. If you can report to Seprona that would be great make sure you have pictures. I hope you are able to sort it out for the poor dog and your peace of mind.

Well done you for taking action. I hope the authorities are helpful. Sometimes the animal sanctuaries can help guide you.

As above bones are not good for a starving dog. Bland food little and often is best. If it is dried dog food then scatter it  around so that he has to eat it a little more slowly. Poor thing :(
