Hello everyone. I understand there is a bus from Almoradi to Torrevieja run by Vega Bus a few times each day Monday to Saturday. Can a user tell me the approximate fare please and whether it goes all the way to the bus station at Torrevieja or terminates at the Habaneres Mall? Many thanks

Just to answer my own question in case anyone else is interested in the future....the service from Almoradi to Torrevieja was on an Inmaculada company bus not Vega Bus (And the sign on the bus said 'Elche a Torrevieja'). The fare is €2.30 each way. It doesn't go to the bus station in Torrevieja rather it starts and ends at the main bus stop next to the Fontera Hotel. There is also a one service a day bus with Costa Azul (€2.35) and this does go to and from the Torrevieja bus station.

I took this bus into Torrevieja and back today from Almoradí

The fare was €3 euros each way, I didn’t ask for a return ticket, maybe they do one.

I caught the 10.25 bus from Almoradí bus station ( in Calle Médico Julio García García ) I got off in the centre of Torrevieja, this is the same bus stop you wait at to go back to Almoradí, it’s outside the Hotel Fontana Plaza and Dialprix supermercado, on Calle Ramón Gallud at the intersection with Rambla Juan Mateo García. I caught the 2pm bus back, both were about 5 minutes late, so not bad at all.

It stops at several places on the way there, Benijófar, Quesada, Carrefour and one or two others, I will make a closer note next time.

The sign on the front of the bus said Torrevieja Elche, this was not changed round on either journey, so that could be a little confusing.

I remember catching this line when it was Vegabus a few years ago, it was a mini bus then, but this time it was a larger vehicle, a ‘proper’ bus.

People I spoke to at the bus stop said that the 6pm bus from Torrevieja doesn’t seem to exist.EDIT: It does exist, I have caught it 3 times now, it was punctual. I think because there are 2 bus sizes, large or small minibus, this can throw you off, either size can turn up

I took photos to help identify the bus and some of the main stops, and also took a pic of the timetable, I will try to post them below

On the way in to Torrevieja, at Carrefour, (which is next to Las Habaneras shopping centre), the bus stops across the road outside the police station next to the fire brigade building/los bomberos. There is a proper bus stop/shelter there, so easy to spot.

On the way back, the Carrefour stop is at the roundabout next to the flag poles, opposite McDonalds and next to Carrefour petrol station, see photo, there were 2 ladies waiting there who boarded the bus
