We previously lived in Ibiza for 18 years, both children born there now 11 and 7, we moved to Costa Blanca North 3 years ago and live in a small village (2000).  Although we like the village, for me it's a little small and there is no public transport.  Only Valenciano is spoken (although I do understand it a bit now!). My children both have learning difficulties and although they are doing ok (and the school is very good) I think it would be a lot easier if they only needed the two languages.  I would like to live somewhere with good public transport, walking distance to a school and amenities.  Safe for the children to walk to the park. Bit more cosmopolitan, and not really expensive.  Does a place exist🤣.   Has to be house with a small garden (we currently have an Adosado)

I've found this if it is of any help.

Special Education - Students attending special education schools will be taught in the language in which they are most proficient. Nevertheless, in order to train them according to their needs and capabilities, the widest possible contact with the other official and foreign languages will be guaranteed. - Those students who attend ordinary schools with curricular accommodations will follow the School Language Project with the eventual adaptations dictated by the diagnosis.

I don't know if they are referring to certain schools or if it is like in the UK  within mainstream schools.

I haven't read through it all, just scanned down to this SEN bit. I am not certain but I think all schools in the Valencian Community are obliged to teach some classes in Valenciana. There have been a few protests.

Purely from a previous post on the forum, somebody did say that there is a good school in San Miguel de Salinas.

I hope you get somewhere with this, it seems so confusing for them.

I’m sure I’ve read recently that Valenciana is now to be the main language and will be used in all government offices etc. Road signs will be in just the one language.

Yes they have all the necessary adaptions already, most of their classes such as Maths, socials, naturals are 100 per cent in Valenciano.  Schools in the Costa Blanca South only have Valenciano as a subject 🤔

Most of these smaller inland villages are similar in facilities, transport etc. Ands schooling and languages. You can elect to send them to one of the highly respected international schools in the area, but they are all fee paying.
