I would really appreciate help with this subject please. I have a holiday home in Quesada and have booked a number of flights for next year from January to September 2021. In total these amount to just short of 90 days. Am I wrong to have done this or will this be legal as it is under 90 days?

You will be ok as you will be in Spain for less than 90 days in a rolling 180 days period. Each time you use your passport after 1st January 2021 it will be recorded so keep a record of your visits to any EU country.
