Orihuela medieval market

This is on February 1st to 3rd. If you've not been before, it's well worth a visit.
Parking is easiest if you go to Ociopia shopping centre, then walk less than five minutes into the old town.

Sorry, being pedantic, but what street/s is it actually on ?

If you aim for the town hall, it's on several streets around that. From Ociopia just walk down Calle Madre Elisea, hang a left into Plaza Carmen, and you're straight into it.
Thank-you very much Jim, greatly appreciated.

ORIHUELA MEDIEVAL MARKET
Saturday 2nd February
Only 11€
In Orihuela the annual medieval market is one of the biggest in the area
Every year Orihuela turns the clock back for hundreds of years and hosts a festival which brings back life as it was in the Middle Ages.
The market covers a huge area beginning at the Cathedral with countless stalls selling food & drink, trinkets, artifacts, jewellery and clothes with all vendors being dressed up in period costume.
In between the stalls meander musicians, drummers & groups parading in ever more fanciful outfits entertaining visitors with their performances.
There are numerous jugglers, acrobats, and fencers to add to the fun.
The Arabic past is never forgotten in Spain and therefore you will also find a bazaar complete with camels, and even a belly dancer sashaying her way down the streets with her musicians.
Along the side of the cathedral, rare birds of prey, so typical of the falconers of the times are sitting on their perches watching passers by with attentive eyes.
No-body needs to go hungry at this fair, a popular attraction is the sucking pigs roasting on a spit, paella, ribs and wonderful spanish wines which are all readily available.
A great time was had by all this year and we hope to see you there next year!
