Spanish lessons
I wish to learn Spanish. Are there any lessons for beginners in Almoradí please?

Hi Roxy,
Are you formally resident in Spain? If so, Almoradí's ayuntamiento (town hall) appear to run Spanish language courses for adults, "Spanish courses for Foreigners (levels A1, A2 and B1)":

Alternatively, you could pay for private lessons. For example, I go to María Vegara García, who runs her group classes in the function room of Bar Quino in Heredades. María is a fully qualified Spanish language teacher and I would highly recommend her classes - she makes learning the language fun and culturally informative. We follow a syllabus with text books, weekly news, games and homework. She charges €30 per month for weekly 2-hour lessons. You can email her to see if she has availability in one of her Beginners' classes: [email protected]
Kind regards,
Kim

Thank you Kim
I will try the town hall as I don’t have a car and the square is only a 10 minute walk

The best things in life are free. I came to Spain w/o a word, never arrended any academy, school or ehatever. Instead listened to the radio, wathced TV, went to the movies, and got involved in the daily life. After some 4 years it was good enough to be admitted to study law. The vorrom line: you can learn whatever you want if you are MOTIVATED, so take the challenge, you got nothing to loose, it's all in the game.

First thing to do is signup with duolingo online.
Having done that put in at least half an hour daily into working on it.
If you like radio or TV in the background when you are doing chores at home, make sure the programme is in Spanish.
If you like to buy a magazine buy a Spanish one, with lots of pictures.
Join your local library and borrow childrens books, the librarian will be able to help you.
Use every available opportunity to practice what little Spanish you know.
If you have Spanish neighbours talk to them, be friendly.
By the end of a year you should be communicating with the locals. (and I hate to say this, but if you aren't you probably never will)
Buena suerte, J

Hi Killjoy,
I will come with my husband to Almoradí on the 16th of January. I have studied Spanish one term with 3 other people in Sweden once a week, which has been very useful, and I will continue next course in February.
On the 16th of January my husband and I will come back to our "new" holiday home in Almoradí, As we are not going to have a car we will need a shopping cart with 4 wheels. We will use it to by our food and drinks (among other things). Do you know where we can buy a new one in the city centre?
Have a nice evening !
Kristina in Sweden
