LA AGENCIA ESTATAL DE METEOROLOGÍA INFORMA:

1.- Fenómeno meteorológico: Temporal de viento, mar y precipitaciones.

2.- Ámbito geográfico: Península y Baleares.

3.- Comienzo de la situación: Domingo 10 de diciembre.

4.- Duración: Hasta el lunes 11 de diciembre.

5.- Grado de probabilidad: Muy alto (mayor del 90%).

6.- Descripción de la situación meteorológica: En el Atlántico, en las cercanías del noroeste peninsular, tendrá lugar durante la tarde del domingo la formación de una profunda borrasca, nombrada “Ana”, mediante un proceso de ciclogénesis explosiva. La borrasca pasará al norte del Cantábrico durante la tarde noche del domingo adentrándose en Francia la mañana del lunes.

El paso de un frente muy activo, asociado a la profunda borrasca “Ana” dará lugar a vientos muy fuertes, muy mal estado de la mar y lluvias fuertes y/o persistentes que afectarán a buena parte de la Península y a Baleares.

Se producirán precipitaciones abundantes en gran parte del territorio peninsular, que podrán ser localmente fuertes y/o persistentes sobre todo en el noroeste y en zonas montañosas, donde podrían alcanzarse o superarse los 80-100 mm en todo el episodio, especialmente en Galicia. Las precipitaciones serán débiles y dispersas en Baleares y en el litoral valenciano y murciano. Las lluvias tenderán a disminuir de oeste a este a lo largo del lunes. La cota de nieve será alta al principio, quedando la nieve circunscrita tan solo a zonas de alta montaña, para bajar rápidamente tras el paso del frente hasta los 700-1000 metros en la mitad norte conforme las precipitaciones vayan debilitándose.

Lo más significativo será el viento, fuerte o muy fuerte del oeste y suroeste en amplias zonas de la Península y en Baleares, con rachas que podrán superar los 90-100 km/h, o incluso 110-120 km/h en zonas montañosas, Galicia y zonas próximas. Tras el paso del frente el viento irá amainando de oeste a este a lo largo del lunes.

También será significativo el mal estado de la mar afectando a todas las zonas costeras y marítimas alrededor de la Península y Baleares. Se esperan vientos del oeste y suroeste fuerza 7 a 8, ocasionalmente 9, en las costas de Galicia y Cantábrico, con olas de mar combinada de 5 a 7 metros. En las costas de Andalucía y Mediterráneo se prevé fuerza 7 a 8, y olas de 3 a 5 metros. Al final del lunes 11, lo más probable es que finalice el episodio tras el paso del frente y el alejamiento de la borrasca.

7.- Notificación de actualizaciones futuras o de finalización: Salvo que se produzcan cambios significativos en la evolución prevista, AEMET no emitirá un nuevo aviso especial. SPECIAL NOTICE NUMBER 35/2017

ISSUED AT 1:00 PM OFFICIAL TIME OF 12/9/2017

THE STATE AGENCY OF METEOROLOGY INFORMS:

1.- Meteorological phenomenon: Temporal wind, sea and rainfall.

2.- Geographical scope: Peninsula and Balearic Islands.

3.- Beginning of the situation: Sunday December 10.

4.- Duration: Until Monday, December 11.

5.- Degree of probability: Very high (greater than 90%).

6.- Description of the meteorological situation: In the Atlantic, in the vicinity of the peninsular northwest, the formation of a deep storm, named "Ana", will take place during the afternoon of Sunday, through an explosive cyclogenesis process. The storm will pass north of the Bay of Biscay during the evening of Sunday night entering France on Monday morning.

The passage of a very active front, associated with the deep rainstorm "Ana" will lead to very strong winds, very poor state of the sea and heavy and / or persistent rain that will affect much of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.

Abundant rainfall will occur in much of the peninsular territory, which may be locally strong and / or persistent especially in the northwest and mountainous areas, where they could reach or exceed 80-100 mm throughout the episode, especially in Galicia. The precipitations will be weak and dispersed in the Balearics and in the Valencian and Murcian coast. The rains will tend to decrease from west to east throughout Monday. The level of snow will be high at the beginning, leaving the snow circumscribed only to areas of high mountain, to fall quickly after the passage of the front to 700-1000 meters in the northern half as the rainfall will weaken.
