AEMET have just posted a weather warning:
Translation:
AEMET SPECIAL NOTICE: WINTER SITUATION
Issued Tuesday, November 28th
From tomorrow, Wednesday, a mass of cold arctic air will move down over the country from the north, driven by northerly winds. It will continue to move down to southern and eastern areas and so will affect the whole of the country and Baleares by Thursday.
The low temperatures will cause freezing conditions in many areas and the atmospheric instability will cause snow even in some relatively low lying areas.
From tomorrow, Wednesday, until probably next Sunday, the northerly winds will bring very cold air to the whole of the country and the Baleares. During this time here will be freezing conditions in most inland areas with night time temperatures dropping to below -5 in higher and mountainous places. During the day, the cold air, together with the northerly winds, will make it feel very cold. Snow is expected in the mountains in the north of the country which will be most persistent in the Cantabrian range and Pyrenees. Here, the snowline could come down to 400-600m and to 700-900m in other northern areas. In the Baleares the snow line could occasionally come down to about 500m.
It is likely that from Sunday and during the first half of next week the atmosphere will stabilise and the rain and snow will give way to clear skies and light winds. Under these conditions, nighttime temperatures could go even lower to around -8 and with hard frosts in inland areas of the northern half of the country.
Personally, I think the Costa Blanca will miss the worst of it, but then I'm not an expert.
