Hi there,  anyone have any ideas on the best mobile phone network when purchasing a Spanish mobile.  I had one before but because I didn’t use it often enough it was cancelled after 6 months without any notifications.

Hi

We have had that problem before with contract mobile phone in Spain and now use pay as you go sim cards. The one we use at the moment is Orange and have had no problems.

We purchased our own phone and then bought a sim card from  https://goo.gl/maps/3vYX1RzuFxq

Hope this helps

Jeff

We have contract with Orange because we live miles out in campo and they have good coverage where we are and there aren’t any landlines in area. No problems, service always available apart from way up in outback when it can be a bit iffy.

There is no 'one size fits all' and in can depend in large partl on where you live and which operator has the best coverage there,

Sometimes trial and error is the only way to determine that but fortunately there are only really three or four actual networks which the smaller players piggyback onto so it needn't be a long drawn out or costly process.

I've just been through it in fact and settled on Moviestar with whom I've taken out a contract, my first ever anywhere having always been PAYG or prepay!
