I have received in the mail a notice telling me where to go to vote tomorrow. I have also received propaganda from the major parties. These packages include envelopes with lists of names. I don't know if these are ballot papers or what I am supposed to do with them. I know whom I want to vote for but don't know the procedure. Can someone enlighten me? Also I received a list of names for the European election, but again don't know what to do with it. Help, please?

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

What do you do if you have not received the slip / literature from the Party you want to vote for.

Did I need to have declared my intention to vote?

Being on the padrón doesn't automatically mean you are registered to vote in the local and EU elections. Many municipalities, if not all, require you to ask to be put on the voting register.

Tomorrow, go to the voting station and show the Tarjeta Censal you have received, along with your Spanish driving license or passport. You will be checked off the list and given an envelope. Go to the booth with all the voting slips; choose the one for the person you wish to vote for (unless you've already received one in the mail); put it in the envelope and go back to the desk. You then put the envelope in the ballot box.

In theory, you should seal the envelope, but our local ballot station have so far preferred that this not be done.
