Can anyone recommend a dog sitter in or near Altea? We have one dog that we need someone to take care of for about four or five days in December this year as we need to leave Spain to update my passport. We would prefer to not leave him in a kennel.

Did you find somene? I am looking for dog sitter as well in Altea. Also willing to assist
Yes, I did find one and we were very pleased with him. He is a retired living on the edge of Altea. He only takes up to a maximum of 5 -6 dogs and they live with the family in their home. There are no kennels or crates.

Do they speak English? Did you do any reference checks? I have one dog on meds twice a day.

Yes, he speaks English well although it is not his first language. I didn't do any reference checks but did chat to him several times beforehand. There would be no problem with him looking after your one dog and giving him/her meds.
