Could someone please tell me their experiences of how long it took to get an appointment for the Covid-19 booster?

I am aged over 60.  I obtained my SIP card from my local Public Health Centre in Altea this week and the person there also gave me an appointment for almost 5 weeks from now. Have you had to wait this long?

I read that there were some "no appointment" days in Comunidad Valenciana in December but I also saw an article stating that Public Health Centres in Murcia are now offering a "No appointment needed" service every day for those aged over 60.

Are our SIP cards restricted to Comunidad Valenciana or will Murcia accept our SIP cards?

I would appreciate any experience and advice in this regard.

It all depends upon your local health centre.   They all have their own way of doing things.   My health centre advised of the appointment but for some of them you have to go there to obtain an appointment, or phone them., and some have walk-in places.

Hi. Yes I went in person and was given the appointment. My question was ....appointment date is 5 weeks from the date I applied for it. How does that compare with other people's experience?

I had a similar experience, I went towards the end of last year to my medical centre and was given an appointment date for the 15th Feb 2022. My partner could not make an appointment due to them being too young, but received a text message on boxing day with an appointment on 4th January 2022!

I then received a text message a couple of weeks ago for an appointment last week. Classic case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Disorganized chaos.

We gave up waiting for an SMS and went to Torrevieja where they are jabbing without appointment if you are due a booster, they just need to see a SIP number. Tues-Friday 09:00 to 14:30.

There might be a public hospital nearer to you?

regards

I am under 60. No appointment at my Health Centre (Oliva), just walked in last Wednesday and received the booster. Total 30 minutes.

The booster showed on my EU passport by Saturday.
