Hi

We are currently staying in Altea and will be hoping to travel home by car on the 25th of April.  We are concerned about stories of cars being turned away from the french border. Does anyone have any advice.

Thanks

Hi Peter and Mark,

As the form you are discussing may well be helpful for other forum members with similar travel plans, could I ask you to post a link to it in this thread please?

Many thanks and kind regards,

Kim

Hi, just read this on bbc website so main concern of not being allowed through border alleviated.

I drove up Tuesday morning crossing the border around 7pm for yesterday’s Roscoff to Plymouth sailing. I went up the A23 leaving it close to the border for the N-330 at Jaca and that becomes the N134 after going thru the border tunnel near Canfranc. Had to wait for 20mins at Spanish side and was led through the tunnel in an escorted convoy to the French side where no questions were asked. That was 2 days ago though when Macron made the lockdown announcement. That might have tightened a bit since.

So can you still travel still now to the French border to go to England? Then go on the Chunnel if you aren’t booked on it? As I thought the borders were closed in Spain? So I’m totally confused!!! Sarah
