Hi, this is Pete. My wife, Snieguole, and I are planning to visit the Costa Blanca area sometime within the next year with possible intentions of future retirement there. We're looking at the possibility of retiring in Denia, Javea, Alicante, or maybe Altea in a few years. We're gathering information, looking for input on immigration visas, health insurance, best places to live and contacts. I'm a naturalized US citizen also fluent in German and my wife is Lithuanian, also fluent in Russian and English. We enjoy an active lifestyle and outdoor activities such as camping, sailing, kyaking, bike riding and travelling. It would be nice to get to know some people there with similar interests before actualy visiting the Costa Blanca. Looking forward to hearing from you and meeting new people.

Hi Pete and Snieguole, I already wish you all the best for your new chapter, I think Costa Blanca is a great place to live, we have an apartment in Altea and its lovely to have both the sea + mountains and nature in one at hand.

Concerning immigration visas the spanish governments site might be helpful for further advice, http://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/WASHINGTON/en/Consulado/Pages/Visas.aspx
