Hello Lisa,

Hope you have settled in okej in Altea Hills and had time to enjoy Spain, because there tend to be so much time consuming things to get sorted out here in Spain in the beginning. We are a couple of 37 year olds who live in Altea old town. We have a 1.5 year old boy, who really enjoys the company ...

...of other children, but we haven't yet made friends with familes with children in Altea, so maybe we could meet up some day...?

Hi whe live in Altea

Whe are from holland..my son is 12 and is looking to meet new friends

hi Lisa,

I saw your message here and thought Id say hi!

I have an 8 yr old daughter, we live in Gandia and Valencia city but are thinking of a move toward Altea or ALfaz.

I actually home schooled my daughter forna while in the UK inbetween moves.. but the last year she has been at school here, mainly for the social side of it as shes a lone child and needs to play with kids, I find it very hard to find freinds here in Spain, at school she hasnt 1 freind she would meet out of school, very sad out of a class of 22!

what is Altea like? Alfaz? etc, areas?

Are there many Brits and other nationalities?

we live in a very Spanish town and valencia city is diverse, love the city so much but its expensive property wise and school fee wise!

thanks in advance!

Hello

Long time since I used this site, haven’t updated, we have recently moved to Javea, firstly altea and Alfa’s have a big English community in both areas , the Spanish state school in albir has 80% English, French and Dutch only 20% spanish , but obviously teach in Spanish, we moved to javea because a large English community, with a lot choice for children, football, dancing, karate, swimming, tennis, etc all taught in English and Spanish (mostly English) but can help with the learning of Spanish and able to mix with lots of children there age, there is a huge summer program, we are off to cookery lessons and tennis next week. I hope this helps

Thanks for reply.

Im looking for British curriculum schools.

Not keen on Spanish systrm. Weve been there tried it.

The last year my daughter been at British school here near Valencia. Better than Spanish one but still too basic for what zi expect from privates.

Best place to live by far is Valencia city but prices are pushing us out..hence looking at Altea area.

I know Javea well but it has no shopping centres and no town centre. Old town cute yes but also many retirees there..abit like Gandia..

Looking for more life..
