Hi, myself and my family are looking to move over from England to Spain. We love Altea/Albir and the surrounding areas, we are a family with 2 young children so need to be in an area that is quite family orientated to meet people and make friends. We would like to be in an area with other Expats but aren't really sure where right now.

We would also be looking for an English/bilingual school for our 8 year old daughter.

If anybody can help us that would be great,

Thank you

Hayley

Hi hayley

Cant help with schools as not have kids.

Have you got somewhere to live? I would rent first rather than buy..

Have you googled schools?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, no not yet. We are still looking into everything and looking into areas. We are defiantly renting for the first couple of years or so.

I’ve beeb looking into schools and have emailed a couple for information and fees but I’ve had no replies.

Yes please that would be great, Polop looks a nice area. We haven’t had a chance to stop when driving through.

Hi,

I have just joined and wondered if any of you experienced Altea livers can help!  My husband retires next year and we are looking to rent from next November for 6 months then move permanently if it works out.  I am not at retirement age for some time (!) and wondered how easy it would be to find work?  I speak very minimal Spanish so would need to be something that didn't require too much interaction verbally!  I am happy to do any office jobs or hotel work or cleaning etc.  Just looking for part time or ad hoc work.  Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks,

Fiona
