I'm in the market for a good desktop computer, plus colour monitor and a few accessories. The computer I have in mind is fairly high spec and I have some specific requirements.

Of course, I could order it all from the internet, somewhere like Amazon DE, but I am put off going down that route by the thought that if I encounter any problems with the new kit, I'll have to pack it all up and send it back. I have read one or two horror stories along those lines in the customer reviews section on Amazon.

So I'm looking for a computer retailer nearby where I can purchase this kit and that I can go back to if things go wrong, somewhere where the staff (a) know what they are talking about and (b) preferably speak English, though I do have rudimentary Spanish. I live near Pego, and am prepared to travel as far north as Valencia city and as far south as Alicante or Torrevieja.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Some months go I bought a Lenovo Ideapad 330 from Alcampo for les than 200,- (brand new of course). Not the fastest but fits my needs. 2 USB ports is scarce but a hub costs a few pennies and solves the problem. I think its a bang for the buck..

I found the staff at Media Markt (in Finestrat) very helpful and knowledgeable about TVs and with quite good English.  You just need to find the right member of staff for what you want to buy.  Their web site is also good for research before you go.
