I was certain I had read a recent post regarding pick up and drop off at Alicante Airport to collect a family member.

Could anyone point me to that post please if not could give advice on where to park to drop off and then to pick up a week later.

The short stay pick up/drop off car park is right outside the terminal building on the top (departures) level. Just follow signs for Departures when you drive in. You get a ticket at the barrier when you go in and you put it in the barrier slot at the other end when you exit.

You get 10 minutes free there, then you start paying. When picking someone up, I park up in Torrellano, 5 minutes from the airport. There's a restaurant there as you go into Torrellano on the left with a huge car park. Park up there, then ask the person arriving to make their way up to Departures and step outside into the car park, then call you. You go and pick them up. Simples.

If you're not stingey like Jack, just use the arrivals car park.  It's not expensive.

There is no such thing as a pickup/dropoff car park

Cheers

There's no such thing, is there, Steve? I must have been dreaming all the times I've driven through it, then. It's official name is the Express Car Park.

And if you visitor's plane gets delayed by an hour, you'll find out if it's expensive or not.

🤣
