Whilst out walking our ShiTzu (female dog) a young ginger female cat started to follow us, miaowing all the way. This continued for about a mile.

On returning home, we thought that it may be hungry so gave it a little tuna. It scoffed it up. It sat outside the property all night, miaowing away.

It seems as though it has fallen in love with our dog.

Has anyone ever known of a similar situation?

Does anyone own this cat?

Does anyone want the cat?

Advice please.

Lovely story, my old mum had a stray arrive and fed it tuna and pilchards, that stray stayed/lived on for over 10 years. Look after it, if it goes then so be it. All the best.

As I've already mentioned, I am allergic to them.

Apologies my friend, Don't feed it! I must look who's re posting in future, as you did not state your allergy in the first instance. good luck.

A neighbour, although with cat allergies, was visited & fell in love with a cat, who decided it was it´s domain.

They just got the feline used to going without food & it went & died on him.

Nicola, the story of Lola and Gorda was heart wrenching. Poor Gorda and what a cruel end.

Villas, your post was 'Litter'ally most bizarre !

Nicola, it paints such a poignant picture.

Many years ago we had a cat and a dog who quite litterally lived in blissful ignorance of each other.

The cat lived on top of the fire surround and the dog lived across the living room in his bowl .

You may describe it as an early example of social distancing. 😄
