Depends where it is in Cabo Roig-in more normal times the strip is very busy and noisy in the summer. Do you have the address or name of urbanisation?

Know exactly where you mean, off Calle de la mola? Near the R7/8/9 swimming pool opposite the big car park? What number is it? Depending on where can be very different noise wise.

Semi detached do exist but very different price range to the quads.

It's a 5 min walk to a small commercial centre with a large supermarket and some small bars and restaurants. The bus stops here to go to the strip and Medical Centre and the beach too. A further 5 min walk takes you to a much newer commercial centre with a bigger choice of bars and restaurants.

The bus in the opposite direction takes you a 5 min drive to 2 golf courses (Campoamor and Las Ramblas) and the large La Fuente centre with a lot of choice, 2 more large supermarkets nearby and a bank plus opticians, the usual large Chinese emporium and other businesses.

A car is always useful and saves waiting around in what can be very intense heat in the summer.

Noise  would  be  an issue  for  me,  Pubs  and  Restaurants  would  not  bother  me either,  Eat  out 1 or  2  a  week,  more  into  gyms  and sports,  peace  and quiet,  Think   I   would   find  lack  of privacy  an  issue  in quads ,   Storage  I  would   require,  but  was  told  I  could  purchase  a  good  lock  up  for  about  7k  euros,  Guess  it   would  cost  much  the   same  to  run  a car  in  Spain  as  Ireland,  did   intend  getting  about  on a  Push  Bike.  Cant  give  you  a  property  number  only  doing  a  virtual viewing  but  no intention  of buying  through  this  process  would  need  to be  standing  in it   and  spend a week or 2 in the area,  asking  price is  125k  full  furnished, dont  think  i   would  be offering  that  price, What  do  people  do   in July  and  August  in  very  Hot  weather,  Your   advise  is greatly  appreciated,

Thanks  again

Is it the one with Valentines which has just been reduced from 135k? Very good spot and all day sunshine which is a must over the winter months. There is a very large, deep storage cupboard on the solarium with these and another good sized storage area on the side. Depends what you would need it for. Certainly a bike would go in these or could be secured in the area between the terrace and balustrade. 7k seems high to me for a lock up. If you go with that area there are apartments with underground storage areas a short way further down which owners will rent out very reasonably.

In July/Aug life does change when the temps and humidity rise. This is when you need your air con -quiet units a must in the bedroom-and most people I know tend to get out early to do their errands etc, get any housework out of the way and then find a cool spot for the rest of the day. I find I do a very light salad lunch which we have outside in the shade and then am in and out  of the pool. Bbq much much later in the day with friends. Life slows down as the heat rises.

Clubs and societies tend to stop for these 2 months. The beach can be a good place to be as there is usually a breeze but then it can be pretty packed in the summer.

Good idea to rent whilst checking areas out.

The  Bunaglows  that  Valentine's   have  is  a  different  one, but  it  is  a  much  better one, than Bungalow  I look  at,  if  you  stroll  down  page  here you   will  find it,  It  a  Manchester   contact number,

How  much   storage  do  I  need,???,    i  ask  myself  that  10  times a  day ,  as  if  and  when  world  get  back  to  some sort  of  normality ,  I  will  be  retired   and   as  i  work  as  a  Carpenter   have  accumulated  a lot  of  tools,  and  cutting  my  ties  with Ireland,   if  that  is  a  good idea  or not,  I  wont  need  tools in  Spain,  but  I  would  and  will  get  involved  with some  organisations   that  help  the less  well off,,  I  will  need  some  tools

It  a  guess  from  me,  but  do  live  in  Coba  Roig  area  as  your  knowledge   is  very  good  about  the  area

What  put  me  off  quads  is  small  dividing  wall  at  side  of  house,  are  small  dogs  allowed  in  these complex

Could  you explain   urbanisation   to me

I did scroll all the way down but couldn't see anything re another bungalow. Do you have a link for it at all? I would be very interested to see it.

If the Valentine's property is much better than the one you are looking at why not go for that one. I know the owners at Valentine's and I do know that it is being reduced to 125k, they are in the process of dealing with this now.

My late husband inherited all his own grandfathers tools ( he had also been a carpenter) and I do understand the reluctance to get rid of tools which are so hard to get anymore, certainly the quality. I certainly wouldn't get rid of all of them and you will find you will need a good selection to do things for yourself. These bungalows do have enough storage for a good selection, especially if you put in some shelving. Wood is expensive in Spain but you would be able to get metal racking at a reasonable price from somewhere like Leroy Merlin. The roof storage areas in particular are very deep.

Yes I do know this area very well and have friends who have lived there. All organisations have communities and there are certain rules which are in place because of Spanish law and others in place due to the owners voting for them. In this San Jose Playa Golf 2 one they are allowed 2 animals so a dog would be ok.  An agent selling a property would be able to obtain the community rules for you to see. The small walls have often had permanent extensions to them by adding balustrades, decorative blocks or building the walls up. There are precedents already set for these amongst the bungalows so this wouldn't be a problem but a less permanent answer might be to have some sort of fencing around the exterior above the levels of the walls. They can easily be made more private. The end bungalows give far more space for you and remember that they are not all lived in permanently. It will (usually) be much busier during the summer months but I bet only a quarter of them, at the most, are permanently lived in. The problem you anticipate with noise may not be a problem at all. Bear in mind that any property with an attached wall may have some noise issues if you have noisy neighbours-Spanish properties are not known for their soundproofing! A friend had problems with an adjoining neighbours staircase and both neighbours got together to have some sound proofing material installed which didn't cost a fortune and has worked very well.

Morning  from  Sunny South East  of Ireland

The  other  Bunaglows  for sale is  with  Property  and  Villas in  Spain,  I  was  talking  to  Robert Lysdale,

Yes  Bunaglows   interest   me  as you  have  answered  a few questions,   is  Coba  Roig  a  Flat area,   I  would  expect  some noise as  it  a  Holiday /Tourists   area,  but  late  nightt  parties  loud  music   I  could  not  handle  like most  people  of  my  vintage,  I  enkoy  my  sleep  and  peace

The  neighbours  in  other Bungalow  I  am lead  to  believe  were British/Irish  as  Bungalow  had  gutters on  it,  a  rare  sight  in  Spain  I  was  told.

Yes  I  would  like to  view your  friends  Bungalow,  but  if  they  need fast  sale  I  would not  be able to visit  Spain  until  September  October  time,  as  I  will  not  travel  until  I   recieve  my  vaccine,   and  travel  is  permitted,,  i  have  no  date   yet  as  to  when  I  recieve  vaccine,  Things   in  Republic   are  moving  at  a  snails  pace  and it  one  bit  of  bad news after another,  Astra  Zennca.

I  was  going  to  ask you  if  you  would  recommend  that  Bungalow   and  area  to  friends  or  relatives,  Do  you  drive  over  there, I  suppose  a  Car  is  very  handy   for  Day  trips  shopping  etc

Hello Sligogent,

Am also from SE Ireland with a quad in Playa Flamenca. We travel over by car each year in October great now with ferry from Rosslare to Bilboa. Approx 8 hour drive to Torreveija. Unfortunately did not get over this year due to covid so looking forward to October booked on ferry for 8th October. We are fortunate as we have had our 2 jabs of Pfizer vaccine just over 2 weeks ago. Cabo Roig has a great selection of bars and restaurants on what they call the strip. We live near Ferns, if you want to discuss anything we could meet up over a drink when we are allowed.
