I’m planning to arrive in Alicante on Sun 28 Feb at 1900. The bus for Torrevieja is at 2100, that’s a 2 hour wait. Normally, does anyone plan taking a taxi/book or do you randomly ask other travelers if they’re going to Torrevieja and share ?

Are you sure that you have the correct timings for the bus, as I always have them leaving the airport for Torrevieja on even numbered hours, ie 0800, 1000, 1800, etc, with the reverse journey being on the odd numbered hours?

contact Benniconnect transfer services online and get a quote - at that time of year a return trip may only be 15-20 euros - in a comfortable minibus/coach!
Otherwise you'll be battered about in the queue by marrauding locals determined to get on the Airport bus before you (not pleasant!!! - I have experienced this twice and swore NEVER again!)

The current timetable is...from Torrevieja 7am 9am 11am 13pm 16pm 20pm
From Alicante airport...8am 10am 12noon 14pm 17pm 21pm

Thanks Elinspain - i never realised that the schedule had changed - for the last 5 years thatI remember it was odd hours one direction, and even for the other - well there you go !!

Great, looking forward to being thrown around in bus queue (I’m a tiny 4 ft 9) as I’ll be easy enough to shove out of the way😮
There are so few people flying at the moment I doubt very much that there will be any jostling in the queue. In October there were only 3 of us on the coach on a Saturday afternoon ( and that was pre the Covid test requirement). I don’t think the Beneconnect shuttle is currently running south.
