Travelling to UK with pets

I assume people with pets may have my problem. I travel to UK with my dog by car and use the cross channel ferry. The journey from Spain to Channel port takes me more than 48 hours, so any Covid test in Spain is more than 48 hours before embarking on thee ferry. I actually take 3 days spending the 3rd day near the relevant port so with plenty of time on my hands.

It might be helpful to many in my position if we recorded which test centres in France we used to get the necessary test to allow embarcation.

That would be a good idea Chris. Look forward to peoples contributions. We always did Santander or Bilbao Ferry, but dog friendly cabins are difficult to get. We considered driving through France next time, but never even considered the covid test timescales.

we drive through spain ,ferry from caen to portsmouth . Pre booked our test in Caen ,results about 20 mins .the most difficult part was the passenger locator form ,as details have to be exact & we managed to get on an earlier ferry ,hence times & dates were wrong
