Hi

Could anyone tell me the chances of getting a job over there, I've been a chef for over 30 years, I'm ex military (RAF) and now looking for a new start at 55years of age is it worth my time looking or just a waste of mine and everyone's time.

Thank you in advance

First of all if you are a UK passport holder you will need to apply for a visa from the Spanish consulate to be able to move to Spain permanently. If you gain a visa you will be able to move to Benidorm and apply for residency and only then will you be allowed to apply for work.

I live in Benidorm and the work situation here for chefs is dire. Because of the covid problem over the last 18 months there has been many hospitality staff been made redundant and only now restaurants are starting to reopen. There are likely to be a lot of cooks and chefs on waiting lists for jobs.

Look into what is needed to gain a visa including income and healthcare requirements to move to Benidorm and anywhere else in Spain.
